PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / PHOTOGRAPHER

Rebekah Lowri Llewelyn is a multidisciplinary storyteller with a passion for sharing contemporary tales at the intersection of climate, culture and language. Her work spans the mediums of documentary and narrative film, photography, and writing.

Inspired by the real and imagined worlds of science fiction, their work explores parallels between memory, magic and mythology - uncovering the timeless interconnectedness of these themes played out in our current climate and landscape, and revealed through our language and folklore.

With a background in linguistics and anthropology, and as native Welsh speaker, Llewelyn’s work is informed by a deep connection to her Welsh roots. This addition of academic and professional experience is prevalent throughout her filmmaking, striking a dynamic balance in their compelling written narratives and artfully composed visuals.

With extensive experience as a producer director, editor, writer and cinematographer, across documentary, sports, socials and broadcast, Llewelyn has in-depth expertise in a wide range of stages throughout film and media production.

Co-founded Beyond Omelas - an independent production house specialising in documentary, sci-fi and folklore inspired films that lie at the intersection of climate, culture and community.

Currently working as a Features Producer for the SailGP league.
